ART HILL
Art Hill, in Forest Park, is one of STL’s most beloved spots. Spanning 1,300 acres, the park hosts the St. Louis Museum of Art, Zoo, History Museum, Science Center, and the Muny. Founded in 1876 as an inclusive space, it now attracts nearly 15 million visitors annually for picnics, sledding, concerts, films, and more.

TED DREWES
Ted Drewes, a St. Louis institution, has been serving frozen custard and selling Christmas trees since 1941. Founded by Muny Tennis Champion Ted Drewes Sr., the Chippewa location opened with five serving windows and introduced the famous "Ted's Concrete" in 1959. Still family-run, Ted Jr. expanded to twelve windows and added the holiday tradition of Christmas trees.

BOTANICAL GARDENS
The Missouri Botanical Gardens, also known as Shaw’s Garden, span 79 acres in the heart of STL. Founded in 1859, it's one of the oldest botanical gardens in the U.S. and houses the second-largest herbarium. As a National Historic Landmark, it features scenic spots like Tower Grove House, the Japanese Garden, Climatron, and Reflecting Pools.

BEVO MILL
Bevo Mill, named after an Anheuser-Busch malt beverage, is a historic STL landmark in a neighborhood once home to German and Eastern European immigrants. Inspired by Dutch windmills, founder August Busch Sr. studied Holland's architecture before opening the restaurant and beer hall in 1917. He aimed to recreate the lively feel of European beer gardens, even adorning the Mill with hand-crafted porcelain tile murals from Germany.

TOWER GROVE
Tower Grove Park is a lush oasis in south St. Louis, featuring meadows, 7,000 trees, and beautiful gardens. It's a key urban and historical space, offering recreational, educational, and cultural activities. Local schools use it for learning and play, while families enjoy its trails, tennis courts, and playgrounds. The park also hosts events like the Tower Grove Farmers’ Market.

CITY MUSEUM
The City Museum, known as “weirdly wonderful,” is an artist-built playground in a former shoe factory. Spanning over 600,000 square feet downtown, it features 29,000 artifacts from around the world. Created by renowned sculptors Bob and Gail Cassilly and a team of local artisans, the museum opened in 1997 with magical exhibits, live performances, and endless exploration.

BUSCH STADIUM
Opened in 2006, the “New Busch Stadium” is home to MLB's St. Louis Cardinals and the third to carry the Busch name since 1953. Designed in a “retro-classic” style, it offers panoramic views of the downtown skyline and seats over 44,000. Highlights include a bronze statue of Stan “The Man” Musial at Gate 3, local food concessions, and a make-your-own mascot store.

GATEWAY ARCH
The Gateway Arch, a global symbol of human ingenuity, represents STL and its historic role in the Westward Expansion. Known as the "Gateway to the West," the Arch, along with its museum, Old Courthouse, and park, is a downtown focal point. Attracting 4 million visitors annually, it's within walking distance of Washington Avenue, Busch Stadium, and the Mississippi River ports.

MCDONNELL PLANETARIUM
The James S. McDonnell Planetarium, a St. Louis staple for over 60 years, is located in Forest Park and features over 700 interactive exhibits on space, aviation, and spaceflight. It boasts the largest artificial sky in the Western Hemisphere and houses one of the few ZEISS UNIVERSARIUM Mark IX Star Projectors in the U.S. Designed by architect Gyo Obata, who also created the Smithsonian’s National Space Museum.

UNION STATION
Union Station has been a historic St. Louis landmark since its first train arrival in 1894. Once one of the world’s busiest rail stations, it helped transform STL into a gateway for the nation, handling over 100,000 people daily during its peak from the 1904 World’s Fair to WWII. After the last train left in 1978, Union Station reopened in 1985 as a monument and event space, celebrating railway nostalgia and innovation.

HAWTHORN BLOSSOM
The Hawthorn Blossom became Missouri’s state flower in 1923. Found abundantly on the Red Haws tree, there are about 75 variations across the state, each with delicate white petals. Rich in symbolism, the blossom represents hope, happiness, beauty, longevity, love, protection, and fertility. It was also used in ancient Greek and Celtic ceremonies.
